COVID 19

On December 31, 2019, the Wuhan Municipal Health and Sanitation Commission (Hubei Province, China) reported to the World Health Organization a cluster of 27 cases of pneumonia of unknown etiology, with common exposure to a wholesale seafood, fish and live animal market in Wuhan City, including seven severe cases. The agent causing this pneumonia was identified as a new virus in the family Coronaviridae that has subsequently been named SARS-CoV-2. The clinical picture associated with this virus has been called COVID-19.
